For a far-from-it-all feeling with beautiful coastal views, historic towns and challenging hills, join this springtime walk from Hastings to Rye. We’ll meet at Hastings station by 11 am, making our way through quintessential Hastings Old Town before our trail takes us abruptly upwards into an area of dense woodland. We’ll then join the coast path, where we’ll be treated to some of South East England’s gorgeously undulating — and tiring — countryside and expansive views on the Saxon Shore Way National Trail. Following the trail all the way to the historic town of Rye, we’ll finish with famous cobblestone streets and Medieval timbered houses, hopefully finding some time to rest our legs in a beer garden before catching the train home.

This is a strenuous one, so make sure yo'u’re wearing sturdy boots and carrying plenty of snacks, some lunch and at least 2 litres of water. We’ll be sweating through the first miles!
