Join Moved for this beautiful hike through the undulating Kent countryside, taking in historical sites, expansive views and enchanting ancient woodland. Beginning in the old-world village of Wye — accessible by train from London — we wind our way upland to a stunning viewpoint, from which we can take in a large swathe of Kent.
Continuing on through fields and vibrant wildflower meadows, we continue to climb into the hills until we meet the lush forested area of Franscoombe Wood, Eggringe Wood and Denge Wood. Eventually, we arrive at the pretty village of Chartham, where we join the Great River Stour — which we follow along all the way to the City of Canterbury.
This is a rural walk and can feel quite challenging, especially in the heat. Bring at least two litres of water, lunch and some snacks. And, as ever, be prepared for wet weather — the woods here can become quite flooded during a downpour.
