Join Moved for an awakening, end-of-winter walk from the bustling banks of the mighty Thames to the beautiful serenity of Highgate Woods — via Islington, Clissold Park, Finsbury Park and the Parklands Way.
We’ll meet at London Bridge Station at 10:30am, grab a coffee and a pastry, then head across to the north bank of the river. Making our way up towards Islington, via historical Billingsgate, we’ll take in all the sights and sounds of a busy London Saturday. Arriving at Islington, we’ll head up Upper Street, with plenty of opportunities to stop and buy lunch. Continuing northwards through Highbury, we’ll then segue East to Clissold Park, along Green Lanes, and through Finsbury Park. There, we’ll join the pretty Parklands Trail, which will lead us up to Highgate and our final woodland destination.
For those who fancy it, there are plenty of lovely pubs in Highgate Village for a post-hike pint. Bring a litre of water and be prepared — as always — for wet weather.
